I think it is great news to have big corporate support to keep our Mercury in play during these tough economic times. It's about time womens basketball got this kind of commercial support! Why should soccor, softball and Nascar have all the sponsorships! Yey Lifelock! Also, I am not up for singing Mighty Lifelock... mighty lifelock yet lol

I realize that the Mercury, and most pro sports for that matter, are having financial difficulties.  If corporate sponsorship is what it takes to keep the team alive, so be it.  I do not like the fact the "Phoenix" and "Mercury" have been replaced by "LifeLock" on the jerseys.  This causes a loss of local identity.  I think a patch on the jersey somewhere should have been sufficient.  I will still support the Mercury, but am disappointed in the move to replace the name with an advertisement.

This cheapens the team. Its a shame that the good name of the Mercury has been sold. The team will hear about it when they go on the road.

It's great that the Mercury have a sponsor, because I would go crazy if there was no more Mercury! I do agree that they shouldn't have taken the name off the front. Maybe they changed the name this year since this is the first season of them sponsoring the Mercury. Next year they might go back to the original jerseys. I wouldn't mind having a Lifelock jersey thoughSmile

I think so far this has been a good partnership. Nothing too cheesy going on. Their contests are funny and there is not too much interference. :) I am hoping Lifelock extends their partnership and that the Mercury also get other partnerships. The more partnerships the better! Gotta keep our Mercury here in Phoenix!

I'm not from Phoenix, but I know how it feels to lose your hometown team. I've always been a Mercury fan, so I think it's good that Lifelock decided to partner up with them. I ordered my Lifelock Taurasi jersey last night and it should be here Thursday.Laughing

I think that having sponsorships for teams is good for the WNBA, but i really don't like that the team name on the jersey's was replaced with lifelock they could have done a small symbol but they just went a little overboard
