Hey Mercury fans, I'm new on here. Just wanted to post some thoughts about the upcoming season. My friends and I were SUPER excited to hear that Candice Dupree was joining the team in the off season. We have been huge fans of hers and followed her career in Chi town. Now, we get to see her every home game! This was a dream come true! To add to our excitement, we have been fortunate enough to meet her twice now. First time was at a function organized by the Merc..and that was cool because we got to meet and chat very briefly with each player. Almost every player seemed genuinely happy to be there and excited about the season. Some, of course were more outgoing than others, but everyone was nice, as they usually are, especially DT :-) LOVE her! 

The second time we met Candice however, was even better because we just happened to be at the same resteraunt in Phx. She was incredibly gracious and generous with her time, taking the time to chat and take pics with us. We also told her again how happy we were that she was here in Phoenix, to which she responded, "Thanks I'm so happy to be here!" Now this was not an organized or pre-scripted event, it was just a classy woman, being real, and taking time out with some fans. It's so refreshing to meet a pro athlete who is humble, sweet and funny. She even expressed her desire to play better! Wow. We have no doubt, and relayed this to her, that once she learns the system and has a chance to "gel" with her new teammies...she will be more than fine! She is a great additon to an already great team So excited for the rest of the season to unfold! Go Mercury! Go Dupree!!
